A lively, expressive painting capturing the joyful energy of sunflowers in bloom. Vibrant golden-yellow petals twist and dance against a rich background of deep greens and blues, while soft, silvery-green leaves bring contrast and balance. I enjoyed growing these from seed and then capturing them on the canvas.
I aimed for loose, gestural brushstrokes and layered textures give the flowers a wonderful sense of movement and character, celebrating the beauty and individuality of nature.
