An exuberant celebration of flowers, colour and expressive mark-making. I wanted to capture the wonderful abundance of a loosely gathered bouquet, allowing the flowers and foliage to merge into a lively arrangement of pinks, deep burgundy, turquoise and green. Layers of paint, spontaneous brushstrokes and glimpses of delicate white flowers create movement and texture, while the simple turquoise vase provides a quiet anchor for this joyful composition.
