An expressive floral still life filled with warmth, colour and movement with the contrast of warm coral and orange flowers against the cool turquoise background. I’ve built up the surface with layers of paint, loose marks and scratched lines, allowing some of the earlier colours to show through. The bright yellow vase anchors everything and gives the painting its cheerful, slightly playful character.
Acrylic on cradled wood panel
23 x 30.5cm
Original painting, unframed, ready to hang
